Appeasement & Fawn Responses Workshop

  • Centre 151 151 Whiston road (map)

In this new, exciting workshop we will be exploring Appeasement and Fawn responses and how they affect our body, psycho-emotional and behavioural patterns.

  • Do you consider yourself a people pleaser?

  • Do you lose your sense of self in relationships?

  • Do you find yourself moulding yourself to fit in?

Appeasement and Fawn responses, from a neurobiological perspective, are not a character flaw but an intelligent, adaptive survival strategy.

Adaptive in trauma and maladaptive in daily life.

While effective for surviving an immediate threat, this pattern can become an ingrained and harmful coping mechanism.

In daily, non-threatening situations, it can manifest as codependency, people-pleasing, and a compromised sense of self.
