You know the anatomy. But can you see it in the body in front of you?
Knowing the names of muscles, bones and nerves is one thing.
Understanding how they interact with stress, trauma, breath, movement, tremor and nervous-system regulation is another.
TRE® Anatomy is a practical and experiential 10-week course created to help you develop that deeper understanding.
Led by Cheda Mikic, the course brings together anatomy, theory and neuroscience, but its primary focus is experiential anatomy.
You'll explore the body region by region, learning not only where structures are and what they do, but how to recognise and understand embodied patterns within yourself and the people you work with.
Anatomy You Can Actually Apply
This isn't about sitting through ten weeks of anatomy lectures.
Cheda's approach is hands-on, visual and embodied.
Each two-hour module combines presentations, anatomical images, videos, theory and practical experiential exercises designed to help you locate, feel and understand the structures being explored.
The aim is to take anatomy from something you know intellectually to something you can begin to recognise in a living, moving body.
For TRE® providers and other body-based practitioners, that can give you an entirely different perspective on what you observe during sessions.
What You'll Explore
Across 10 weeks, you'll work through the body systematically:
Module 1 — Feet, Ankles, Calves, Knees & Thighs
Explore the structures of the lower body and develop a deeper understanding of their role within movement and embodied patterns.
Module 2 — Pelvis & Psoas
Take a closer look at an area central to TRE® practice, including the anatomy of the pelvis and psoas.
Module 3 — Abdomen, Lower Back, Kidneys & Adrenals
Explore the anatomy of the abdomen and lower back alongside the adrenals and stress response.
Module 4 — Diaphragm, Thoracic Spine, Lungs & Ribs
Understand the structures involved in breathing and the relationship between the diaphragm, thorax, lungs and ribs.
Module 5 — Shoulders, Neck, Throat & Arms
Explore the upper body alongside voice and sound.
Module 6 — Face, Tongue, Head, Jaw & Eyes
Develop your understanding of the anatomy and interconnected structures of the head and face.
Module 7 — Vagus Nerve, Heart & Polyvagal Theory
Explore the vagus nerve and heart alongside the course's introduction to Polyvagal Theory.
Module 8 — Spine, Cranial Nerves & TLF
Take a deeper look at the spine, cranial nerves and thoracolumbar fascia.
Module 9 — Brain
Explore the brain as part of your wider understanding of anatomy, stress and trauma.
Module 10 — Fascia & Myofascial Meridians
Bring the course together through an exploration of fascia and myofascial meridians.
Who Is This Course For?
TRE® Anatomy was designed specifically in response to demand from TRE® providers, practitioners and students who wanted to improve their anatomical knowledge and their ability to understand what they were seeing in their own bodies and those of their clients.
It's particularly valuable for:
TRE® Providers and trainees
Somatic and body-based practitioners
Therapists interested in embodied stress and trauma
Complementary health practitioners
Anyone wanting a deeper experiential understanding of human anatomy
You do not need previous TRE® experience to attend.
More Than Theory
Each week you'll receive a combination of:
Anatomy + Theory + Neuroscience + Experiential Practice
You'll be encouraged to explore the material in your own body, with what Cheda calls some necessary "play-work" between sessions to help embody what you've learned.
You'll also receive:
✓ A manual for every module
✓ Live access to Cheda's teaching
✓ Opportunities to ask questions
✓ Practical and experiential exercises
✓ Recordings of every session
✓ Indefinite access to the recordings
While live attendance is encouraged so you can engage directly with Cheda, you won't lose a module if you can't attend a particular Wednesday — you'll still receive the manual and recording.

If you work with TRE®, trauma, movement or the body, understanding anatomy can change the way you observe what's happening in front of you.
Over ten weeks, you'll have the opportunity to build a much richer map of the human body — connecting structure with function, theory with experience, and anatomy with stress and trauma.
